INGREDIENTS – 300 g flour, 150 g butter, 100 g powdered sugar, lemon zest, vanilla, a pinch of salt, 2 egg yolks, 1 whole egg, 1 tablespoon sour cream.
Place the flour, sugar, butter, vanilla, lemon zest, and salt on a work surface. Rub everything together with your palms until crumbly. Make a well in the center, add the eggs and sour cream, and knead the dough with the palm of your hand on the work surface. Pass it through flour, shape it into a rectangle, and refrigerate until firm.
The shortcrust pastry can also be made savory (excluding the sugar and flavors) and used for making crackers or other baked goods.
This can be used for a number of sweets and savory goodies.
