The gist: Set a 5 minute (or 10/15) timer. Do whatever you can do in that time. Something is better than nothing. Plus, you`d be surprised of how much can be done in 5 minutes.
Time is our greatest enemy. But darkness aside – it is, indeed, our first excuse for not getting our shit together. Pardon my French.
It doesn`t have to be. As busy as we’d like to believe we are, we can always find 5 minutes to get something done.
I have a saying… Whatever you are doing can always be put on hold for 5 minutes. No? You don’t think so? What if you had diarrhea? Wouldn’t you drop everything for a few moments? See, they are all just excuses that we use. We stay in our uncomfortable comfort zone for nothing.
Start small. Do it once per day: set a timer, and do it for a week. See how your house/office or whatever you decide to declutter looks like at the end of this period. Very small steps lead to very big changes if taken consistently.
It will soon become instinct and you will enjoy a better environment.
Do it for you!
